Nahors slekt og Rebekkas fødsel
Etter dette får Abraham bud om at Milka har født åtte sønner til hans bror Nahor: Us, Bus, Kemuel (far til Aram), Kesed, Haso, Pildasj, Jidlaf og Betuel – som ble far til Rebekka. I tillegg fødte medhustruen Reuma fire sønner: Tebah, Gaham, Tahasj og Ma'aka. Slektsregisteret peker fremover mot Rebekka, som senere blir Isaks hustru.
1. Mosebok 22,20-24
20Etter dette fikk Abraham bud om at Milka også hadde født sønner til hans bror Nahor:
וַיְהִ֗י אַחֲרֵי֙ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיֻּגַּ֥ד לְאַבְרָהָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר הִ֠נֵּה יָלְדָ֨ה מִלְכָּ֥ה גַם־הִ֛וא בָּנִ֖ים לְנָח֥וֹר אָחִֽיךָ׃
21Us, den førstefødte, hans bror Bus, og Kemuel, far til Aram,
אֶת־ע֥וּץ בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־בּ֣וּז אָחִ֑יו וְאֶת־קְמוּאֵ֖ל אֲבִ֥י אֲרָֽם׃
22og Kesed, Haso, Pildasj, Jidlaf og Betuel.
וְאֶת־כֶּ֣שֶׂד וְאֶת־חֲז֔וֹ וְאֶת־פִּלְדָּ֖שׁ וְאֶת־יִדְלָ֑ף וְאֵ֖ת בְּתוּאֵֽל׃
23Betuel ble far til Rebekka. Disse åtte fødte Milka til Nahor, Abrahams bror.
וּבְתוּאֵ֖ל יָלַ֣ד אֶת־רִבְקָ֑ה שְׁמֹנָ֥ה אֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָלְדָ֣ה מִלְכָּ֔ה לְנָח֖וֹר אֲחִ֥י אַבְרָהָֽם׃
24Hans medhustru, som het Reuma, fødte også barn: Tebah, Gaham, Tahasj og Ma'aka.
וּפִֽילַגְשׁ֖וֹ וּשְׁמָ֣הּ רְאוּמָ֑ה וַתֵּ֤לֶד גַּם־הִוא֙ אֶת־טֶ֣בַח וְאֶת־גַּ֔חַם וְאֶת־תַּ֖חַשׁ וְאֶֽת־מַעֲכָֽה׃ ס
