Beeri (Hosea's father)
The prophet's father
Beeri was the father of the prophet Hosea, who ministered in the northern kingdom of Israel during the 700s BC. Although little is known about Beeri personally, he is mentioned in the opening verses of the book of Hosea as part of the prophet's genealogical identification. His name means 'my well' or 'spring' in Hebrew.
