Phoebe (deaconess in Cenchreae)
Servant of the Church
Phoebe was a deaconess in the church at Cenchreae, a port city near Corinth. She was entrusted by Paul to deliver the Letter to the Romans to the church in Rome and is described as a protector and benefactor of many, including Paul himself.
