Supervision of Temple Work under Josiah

A Jahat was among the Levites who supervised the restoration work on the temple during King Josiah's reforms.

12The men did the work faithfully. Over them were appointed Jahath and Obadiah, Levites of the sons of Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam of the sons of the Kohathites, to direct them, along with the Levites who were all skilled with musical instruments.

The Service of the Levites in the House of God
