Son of Simeon and founder of a clan

Jamin was the second son of Simeon, Jacob's son, and one of those who accompanied Jacob to Egypt. He became the ancestor of the Jaminites, a clan within the tribe of Simeon. Although he does not play a prominent individual role in the biblical narrative, he is important as part of Israel's tribal history.
