David Builds a House and Has Children in Jerusalem
King Hiram of Tyre sends cedar trees, masons, and carpenters to David to build a house for him. David understands that the Lord has established him as king over Israel, and he takes more wives in Jerusalem and has many sons and daughters, who are listed by name.
1 Crónicas 14,1-7
1Huram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs, masons, and carpenters to build him a palace.
וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח *חירם **חוּרָ֨ם מֶֽלֶךְ־צֹ֥ר מַלְאָכִים֮ אֶל־דָּוִיד֒ וַעֲצֵ֣י אֲרָזִ֔ים וְחָרָשֵׁ֣י קִ֔יר וְחָרָשֵׁ֖י עֵצִ֑ים לִבְנ֥וֹת ל֖וֹ בָּֽיִת׃
2So David knew that the LORD had established him as king over Israel, for his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of his people Israel.
וַיֵּ֣דַע דָּוִ֔יד כִּֽי־הֱכִינ֧וֹ יְהוָ֛ה לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּֽי־נִשֵּׂ֤את לְמַ֙עְלָה֙ מַלְכוּת֔וֹ בַּעֲב֖וּר עַמּ֥וֹ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ פ
3In Jerusalem David took more wives, and he fathered more sons and daughters.
וַיִּקַּ֨ח דָּוִ֥יד ע֛וֹד נָשִׁ֖ים בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיּ֧וֹלֶד דָּוִ֛יד ע֖וֹד בָּנִ֥ים וּבָנֽוֹת׃
4These are the names of the children born to him in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon,
וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ שְׁמ֣וֹת הַיְלוּדִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיוּ־ל֖וֹ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם שַׁמּ֣וּעַ וְשׁוֹבָ֔ב נָתָ֖ן וּשְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
5Ibhar, Elishua, Elpelet,
וְיִבְחָ֥ר וֶאֱלִישׁ֖וּעַ וְאֶלְפָּֽלֶט׃
6Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
וְנֹ֥גַהּ וְנֶ֖פֶג וְיָפִֽיעַ׃
7Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet.
וֶאֱלִישָׁמָ֥ע וּבְעֶלְיָדָ֖ע וֶאֱלִיפָֽלֶט׃
