The Rebuilding of Jerusalem
A prophetic promise that Jerusalem will be rebuilt for the Lord, from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate. The measuring line will extend further to the Hill of Gareb and turn toward Goa. The entire valley with corpses and ashes, and the fields of the Kidron Valley and the Horse Gate, shall be holy to the Lord. Never again will the city be torn down.
Jeremías 31,38-40
38The days are coming, declares the LORD, when this city will be rebuilt for the LORD, from the Tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
הִנֵּ֛ה יָמִ֥ים **בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה וְנִבְנְתָ֤ה הָעִיר֙ לַֽיהוָ֔ה מִמִּגְדַּ֥ל חֲנַנְאֵ֖ל שַׁ֥עַר הַפִּנָּֽה׃
39The measuring line will stretch out farther, straight to the hill of Gareb, and then turn toward Goah.
וְיָצָ֨א ע֜וֹד *קוה **קָ֤ו הַמִּדָּה֙ נֶגְדּ֔וֹ עַ֖ל גִּבְעַ֣ת גָּרֵ֑ב וְנָסַ֖ב גֹּעָֽתָה׃
40The whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the terraced fields as far as the Kidron Valley, to the corner of the Horse Gate on the east, will be holy to the LORD. The city will never again be uprooted or torn down.
וְכָל־הָעֵ֣מֶק הַפְּגָרִ֣ים ׀ וְהַדֶּ֡שֶׁן וְכָֽל־*השרמות **הַשְּׁדֵמוֹת֩ עַד־נַ֨חַל קִדְר֜וֹן עַד־פִּנַּ֨ת שַׁ֤עַר הַסּוּסִים֙ מִזְרָ֔חָה קֹ֖דֶשׁ לַֽיהוָ֑ה לֹֽא־יִנָּתֵ֧שׁ וְֽלֹא־יֵהָרֵ֛ס ע֖וֹד לְעוֹלָֽם׃ ס
