Los patriarcas
Joseph's Death and Final Words
Joseph lived to be one hundred and ten years old and saw his great-grandchildren. Before he died, he gave his brothers the promise that God would lead them out of Egypt to the land He had promised the patriarchs, and made them swear to take his bones with them. Joseph died, was embalmed, and placed in a coffin in Egypt.
Génesis 50,22-26
22Joseph stayed in Egypt, he and his father's household, and he lived a hundred and ten years.
23He saw Ephraim's children to the third generation, and the children of Machir son of Manasseh were also placed at birth on Joseph's knees.
24Then Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die. But God will surely come to your aid and bring you up out of this land to the land he promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob."
25And Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath, saying, "God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up from this place."
26So Joseph died at the age of a hundred and ten. They embalmed him, and he was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
