Los profetas

The Source for Cleansing and the Removal of Idols

On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to cleanse them from sin and impurity. The Lord will remove the names of idols from the land and get rid of the prophets and the unclean spirit. If anyone still prophesies, their own parents will pierce them through for speaking lies in the name of the Lord. The prophets will be ashamed of their visions; they will no longer wear a hairy cloak to deceive, but will deny that they are prophets and call themselves farmers who bear wounds from the houses of their friends.

Zacarías 13,1-6

1On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.
2On that day, declares the LORD of hosts, I will erase the names of the idols from the land, and they will be remembered no more; I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness from the land.
3And if anyone still prophesies, his own father and mother, who gave him life, will say to him, "You shall not live, for you have spoken lies in the name of the LORD." And his father and mother, who gave him life, will run him through when he prophesies.
4On that day every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they will no longer put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive.
5Each will say, "I am no prophet. I am a man who works the soil, for a man has owned me since my youth."
6And if someone asks him, "What are these wounds between your arms?" he will answer, "These I received in the house of my friends."
