Pablo

Encouragement to stand firm in the faith and fight for the gospel

Paul encourages the Philippians to live in a manner worthy of the gospel, to stand firm with one spirit, and not to be frightened by opponents, since suffering for Christ is a gift of grace. Philippians 1:27-30

Filipenses 1,27-30

27Only, live as citizens worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent and hear about you, I may learn that you stand firm in one spirit, contending side by side with one mind for the faith of the gospel,
28and not frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them of their destruction, but of your salvation—and that from God.
29For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him,
30since you are engaged in the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.
