Paul thanks the church in Philippi for their gift

Paul expresses joy that the church in Philippi has once again shown care for him by sending help through Epaphroditus. He tells them that he has learned to be content both in poverty and in plenty, and that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him. He reminds the Philippians that from the very beginning of the gospel, when he left Macedonia, they were the only church that shared with him in giving and receiving, and that they also sent help to Thessalonica. The gift is described as a fragrant offering that God accepts with pleasure, and Paul promises that his God will meet every need they have according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Filipenses 4,10-19

10I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it.
11I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever my circumstances.
12I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of facing any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in abundance or in want.
13I can do all things through him who gives me strength.[fn]
14Still, it was good of you to share in my trouble.
15And you yourselves know, Philippians, that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone.
16For even while I was in Thessalonica, you sent me help again and again when I was in need.
17Not that I am looking for a gift; what I am looking for is the fruit that increases to your credit.
18I have received full payment and more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent—a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.
19And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
