Saul Persecutes the Church
After Stephen's martyrdom, a great persecution breaks out against the church in Jerusalem. Saul ravages the church by dragging men and women from their homes and throwing them into prison. The believers are scattered throughout Judea and Samaria, while the apostles remain in Jerusalem, and those who were scattered preach the Word wherever they go.
Hechos 8,1-4
1Saul approved of Stephen's execution. That same day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.
2Devout men buried Stephen and mourned him deeply.
3But Saul was ravaging the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and threw them into prison.
4Those who had been scattered went from place to place, preaching the word.
