Zipporah and the Bridegroom of Blood
At the lodging place on the way to Egypt, the Lord meets Moses and seeks to kill him. Zipporah takes a sharp flint stone, cuts off her son's foreskin, touches Moses' feet, and calls him a bridegroom of blood. Then the Lord lets him go.
Éxodo 4,24-26
24On the way, at a place where they stopped for the night, the LORD met him and sought to put him to death.
25But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off her son's foreskin, and touched it to his feet, saying, "Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me."
26So he let him alone. It was then that she said, "A bridegroom of blood," because of the circumcision.
