Abishua

También conocido como: Abishua

Los juecesPriestUnknown, likely the period of the judges

Abijah belonged to the priestly lineage that went from Aaron through Eleazar and Phinehas. Although his individual deeds are not described in the Bible, he plays a central genealogical role as a link between the early high priests and later figures such as Zadok and Ezra. In Ezra's family tree, he serves as an important link confirming the unbroken priestly inheritance from Aaron, which was of great significance for legitimizing the priestly service after the return from Babylon. Through his place in the genealogies, Abijah testifies to God's faithfulness in maintaining the priesthood through generations.
