Jemima was the oldest of the three daughters born to Job after God restored his wealth and health. She and her sisters were known as the most beautiful women in all the land, and they received an inheritance along with their brothers, which was very unusual for that time.
12The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand donkeys.
Job gave Jemima and her sisters an inheritance along with their brothers, a very unusual and progressive step that demonstrated Job's generosity and justice.
Jemima's birth was part of the double blessing that Job received from God after his faithfulness through suffering. Job lived another 140 years and saw four generations of his descendants.
