Mentioned as Baruch's father

Neria is identified as the father of Baruch, the scribe who wrote down Jeremiah's prophecies on a scroll.

12and I gave the deed to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the presence of my cousin Hanamel, of the witnesses who had signed the deed, and of all the Judeans sitting in the courtyard of the guard.

Baruch's mission with the scroll

Baruch, son of Neria, read publicly from the scroll containing the words of Jeremiah in the temple.

4So Jeremiah called Baruch son of Neriah, and as Jeremiah dictated, Baruch wrote on the scroll all the words the LORD had spoken to him.
8Baruch son of Neriah did everything Jeremiah the prophet had commanded him, reading the words of the LORD from the scroll at the house of the LORD.
14So all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to say to Baruch, "Bring the scroll you read in the hearing of the people, and come." So Baruch son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and came to them.

Father of Seraiah

Neria was also the father of Seraiah, who was commissioned by Jeremiah to bring a prophecy to Babylon.

59This is the message Jeremiah the prophet gave to Seraiah son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon with Zedekiah king of Judah in the fourth year of his reign. Seraiah was the quartermaster.
