Zaham was a son of King Rehoboam of Judah and his wife Mahalath. He is mentioned in the genealogy of Rehoboam's descendants in 2 Chronicles. Zaham played no prominent role in the biblical narrative but is noted as part of the royal house of Judah.
Rehoboam took Mahalath, daughter of Jerimoth, son of David, and Abihail, daughter of Eliab, son of Jesse, as his wife. She bore him sons, including Zaham.
Rehoboam had many wives and concubines, and his sons were scattered throughout the cities of Judah and Benjamin as leaders. Zoham was among these royal sons.
21Rehoboam loved Maacah, the daughter of Absalom, more than all his other wives and concubines; he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he fathered twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
23He acted wisely, dispersing his sons throughout all the territories of Judah and Benjamin, to all the fortified cities, and he gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
