Setting up of the lampstand
The Lord gives Moses instructions on how Aaron should set up the lampstand in the tent of meeting, so that the seven lamps shine toward the front. Aaron carries this out exactly according to the pattern the Lord had shown Moses, and the lampstand is made of hammered gold in one piece, from its base to its flowers.
4. Mooseksen kirja 8,1-4
1The LORD said to Moses,
וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃
2"Speak to Aaron and tell him: When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light toward the front of the lampstand."
דַּבֵּר֙ אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ אֵלָ֑יו בְּהַעֲלֹֽתְךָ֙ אֶת־הַנֵּרֹ֔ת אֶל־מוּל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה יָאִ֖ירוּ שִׁבְעַ֥ת הַנֵּרֽוֹת׃
3Aaron did so; he set up its lamps to shine toward the front of the lampstand, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
וַיַּ֤עַשׂ כֵּן֙ אַהֲרֹ֔ן אֶל־מוּל֙ פְּנֵ֣י הַמְּנוֹרָ֔ה הֶעֱלָ֖ה נֵרֹתֶ֑יהָ כּֽ͏ַאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
4This was how the lampstand was made: hammered gold from its base to its blossoms, hammered work throughout. It was made according to the pattern the LORD had shown Moses.
וְזֶ֨ה מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה הַמְּנֹרָה֙ מִקְשָׁ֣ה זָהָ֔ב עַד־יְרֵכָ֥הּ עַד־פִּרְחָ֖הּ מִקְשָׁ֣ה הִ֑וא כַּמַּרְאֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶרְאָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ אֶת־מֹשֶׁ֔ה כֵּ֥ן עָשָׂ֖ה אֶת־הַמְּנֹרָֽה׃ פ
