Job's Faith in the Living Redeemer
Despite his misery, Job confesses his strong faith that his Redeemer lives and that he himself will one day see God from within his own flesh, even after his skin has been destroyed. Job 19:23-27
Jobin kirja 19,23-27
23Oh, that my words were written down! Oh, that they were inscribed in a scroll,
מִֽי־יִתֵּ֣ן אֵ֭פוֹ וְיִכָּתְב֣וּן מִלָּ֑י מִֽי־יִתֵּ֖ן בַּסֵּ֣פֶר וְיֻחָֽקוּ׃
24cut with an iron stylus and filled with lead, carved in rock forever!
בְּעֵט־בַּרְזֶ֥ל וְעֹפָ֑רֶת לָ֝עַ֗ד בַּצּ֥וּר יֵחָצְבֽוּן׃
25But I know that my Redeemer lives, and in the end he will stand upon the dust.
וַאֲנִ֣י יָ֭דַעְתִּי גֹּ֣אֲלִי חָ֑י וְ֝אַחֲר֗וֹן עַל־עָפָ֥ר יָקֽוּם׃
26And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God.
וְאַחַ֣ר ע֭וֹרִֽי נִקְּפוּ־זֹ֑את וּ֝מִבְּשָׂרִ֗י אֶֽחֱזֶ֥ה אֱלֽוֹהַּ׃
27I myself will see him; my own eyes will behold him, and not another. My heart faints with longing within me.
אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֲנִ֨י ׀ אֶֽחֱזֶה־לִּ֗י וְעֵינַ֣י רָא֣וּ וְלֹא־זָ֑ר כָּל֖וּ כִלְיֹתַ֣י בְּחֵקִֽי׃
