Jeesuksen kärsimys

The Soldiers' Mocking of Jesus

The governor's soldiers took Jesus into the praetorium, clothed him in a scarlet robe, put a crown of thorns on his head, and placed a reed in his right hand. They knelt before him, mocked him as King of the Jews, spat on him, and struck him with the reed. Then they took off the robe, dressed him in his own clothes, and led him away to be crucified. Matthew 27:27-31

Matteuksen evankeliumi 27,27-31

27Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the praetorium and gathered the whole cohort around him.
28They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,
29and after twisting together a crown of thorns, they set it on his head and put a staff in his right hand. Kneeling before him, they mocked him: "Hail, King of the Jews!"
30They spat on him, took the staff, and struck him on the head again and again.
31When they had finished mocking him, they stripped off the robe, put his own clothes back on him, and led him away to crucify him.
