Temple Servant After the Exile
Barkos was the ancestor of one of the families among the temple servants (netinim) who returned from the Babylonian exile to Jerusalem. He is mentioned in the lists of returnees in both the book of Ezra and the book of Nehemiah. His descendants served at the temple in Jerusalem after its rebuilding.
