Return from exile
Jedaiah was among the priests who returned from the Babylonian exile to Jerusalem together with Zerubbabel and Joshua.
10"Take a gift from the exiles — from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon. Go that same day to the house of Josiah son of Zephaniah.
14The crown will be a memorial in the temple of the LORD for Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Hen son of Zephaniah.[^1]
[^1]: Hebrew reads *Helem* here, understood as a variant of *Heldai* (verse 10); likewise *Hen* ("favor") may be another name for Josiah son of Zephaniah.
