Ancestor of temple workers who returned from exile

Nekoda is mentioned in the biblical lists of those who returned from the Babylonian exile. The name appears in two contexts: as an ancestor of a group of temple servants (netinim), and as an ancestor of a group that could not prove their Israelite origin. Nekoda is a lesser-known figure but represents the many unnamed families who participated in rebuilding Israel's community after the exile.

The Return from the Babylonian Exile

Nekoda's family was part of the great return under Zerubbabel's leadership, where thousands of Jews returned to rebuild the temple and Jerusalem.
