9Next to him was Eleazar son of Dodo son of Ahohi, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who had gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel withdrew.

10These are the chiefs of David's mighty men, who together with all Israel gave his kingship strong support to make him king, as the LORD had promised concerning Israel.
וְאֵ֨לֶּה רָאשֵׁ֤י הַגִּבּוֹרִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְדָוִ֔יד הַמִּתְחַזְּקִ֨ים עִמּ֧וֹ בְמַלְכוּת֛וֹ עִם־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל לְהַמְלִיכ֑וֹ כִּדְבַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס ‬
11This is the list of David's mighty men: Jashobeam son of Hachmoni, chief of the officers. He wielded his spear against three hundred men, killing them in a single encounter.
