Refajah was a descendant of King David through the line of Zerubbabel, mentioned in 1 Chronicles. He belonged to the royal lineage that continued after the exile in Babylon. Refajah as a Leader at Jerusalem's Wall

Another Refaja, son of Hur, was leader over half of the district of Jerusalem and helped with the rebuilding of the city wall under Nehemiah.

9Next to them Rephaiah son of Hur, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs.

Refaja of the Simeonites

A group led in part by a Refaja from the tribe of Simeon went to the mountains of Seir and struck down the remaining Amalekites.

42Five hundred of these Simeonites went to Mount Seir, led by Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
