Abraham's Faith and the Promise to All Nations

Paul reminds the Galatians that Abraham was counted righteous by faith, and that the promise of blessing for all nations is fulfilled through Christ. He explains that a confirmed covenant cannot be annulled by the law, which came 430 years later, and that the inheritance comes through God's promise to Abraham's one offspring, Christ Galatians 3:6-9 Galatians 3:15-18.

Galates 3,6-9

6Consider Abraham: "He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
7Understand, then, that those who have faith are the children of Abraham.
8And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, announced the gospel to Abraham in advance: "All nations will be blessed through you."
9So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

Galates 3,15-18

15Brothers and sisters, let me take an example from everyday life: once a person's will has been ratified, no one can set it aside or add to it.
16Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. Scripture does not say "and to seeds," as though referring to many, but to one: "and to your seed"—that is, Christ.
17What I mean is this: the law, which came four hundred and thirty years later, does not annul the covenant previously ratified by God, so as to nullify the promise.
18For if the inheritance comes by the law, it no longer comes by promise; but God graciously gave it to Abraham through a promise.
