The Judgment on Moab
The prophecy that the Lord's hand will rest on the mountain while Moab is trampled down like straw in a manure pit. Moab's pride is humbled, and their high fortress walls are torn down into the dust Isaiah 25:10-12.
Ésaïe 25,10-12
10For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain, but Moab will be trampled underfoot as straw is trampled down in a pit of dung.
כִּֽי־תָנ֥וּחַ יַד־יְהוָ֖ה בָּהָ֣ר הַזֶּ֑ה וְנָדוֹ֤[t]שׁ מוֹאָב֙ תַּחְתָּ֔יו כְּהִדּ֥וּשׁ מַתְבֵּ֖ן *במי **בְּמ֥וֹ מַדְמֵנָֽה׃
11Moab will spread out his hands in the midst of it, as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim, but the LORD will bring down his pride along with the cunning of his hands.
וּפֵרַ֤שׂ יָדָיו֙ בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר יְפָרֵ֥שׂ הַשֹּׂחֶ֖ה לִשְׂח֑וֹת וְהִשְׁפִּיל֙ גַּֽאֲוָת֔וֹ עִ֖ם אָרְבּ֥וֹת יָדָֽיו׃
12Your high, fortified walls he will bring down, lay low, and cast to the ground, into the dust.
וּמִבְצַ֞ר מִשְׂגַּ֣ב חוֹמֹתֶ֗יךָ הֵשַׁ֥ח הִשְׁפִּ֛יל הִגִּ֥יעַ לָאָ֖רֶץ עַד־עָפָֽר׃ ס
