The Lord's Redemption of Zion
The Lord calls Zion and Jerusalem to wake up, shake off the dust, and put on strength, for He promises to redeem His people without silver. A messenger proclaims peace and salvation over the mountains: Your God reigns as King! The Lord reveals His holy arm to all nations, and the people are called to go out in peace and purity, with the Lord Himself leading them from the front and protecting them from behind.
Ésaïe 52,1-12
1Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength, Zion. Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city. Never again will the uncircumcised and the unclean enter you.
עוּרִ֥י עוּרִ֛י לִבְשִׁ֥י עֻזֵּ֖ךְ צִיּ֑וֹן לִבְשִׁ֣י ׀ בִּגְדֵ֣י תִפְאַרְתֵּ֗ךְ יְרוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ עִ֣יר הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ כִּ֣י לֹ֥א יוֹסִ֛יף יָבֹא־בָ֥ךְ ע֖וֹד עָרֵ֥ל וְטָמֵֽא׃
2Shake off the dust; rise up and sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Loose the chains from your neck, captive Daughter Zion.
הִתְנַעֲרִ֧י מֵעָפָ֛ר ק֥וּמִי שְּׁבִ֖י יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם *התפתחו **הִֽתְפַּתְּחִי֙ מוֹסרֵ֣י צַוָּארֵ֔ךְ שְׁבִיָּ֖ה בַּת־צִיּֽוֹן׃ ס
3For this is what the LORD says: You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.
כִּֽי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה חִנָּ֖ם נִמְכַּרְתֶּ֑ם וְלֹ֥א בְכֶ֖סֶף תִּגָּאֵֽלוּ׃
4For this is what the Lord GOD says: At first my people went down to Egypt to live there as strangers, and Assyria oppressed them for no reason.
כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ אֲדֹנָ֣י יְהוִ֔ה מִצְרַ֛יִם יָֽרַד־עַמִּ֥י בָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֖ה לָג֣וּר שָׁ֑ם וְאַשּׁ֖וּר בְּאֶ֥פֶס עֲשָׁקֽוֹ׃
5And now what do I have here? declares the LORD. For my people have been carried off for nothing; their rulers howl, declares the LORD, and all day long, without ceasing, my name is despised.
וְעַתָּ֤ה *מי־*לי־**מַה־**לִּי־פֹה֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה כִּֽי־לֻקַּ֥ח עַמִּ֖י חִנָּ֑ם *משלו **מֹשְׁלָ֤יו יְהֵילִ֙ילוּ֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וְתָמִ֥יד כָּל־הַיּ֖וֹם שְׁמִ֥י מִנֹּאָּֽץ׃
6Therefore my people will know my name; on that day they will know that it is I who speak: Here I am.
לָכֵ֛ן יֵדַ֥ע עַמִּ֖י שְׁמִ֑י לָכֵן֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא כִּֽי־אֲנִי־ה֥וּא הַֽמְדַבֵּ֖ר הִנֵּֽנִי׃
7How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the herald who proclaims peace, who brings good news of happiness, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!"
מַה־נָּאו֨וּ עַל־הֶהָרִ֜ים רַגְלֵ֣י מְבַשֵּׂ֗ר מַשְׁמִ֧יעַ שָׁל֛וֹם מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר ט֖וֹב מַשְׁמִ֣יעַ יְשׁוּעָ֑ה אֹמֵ֥ר לְצִיּ֖וֹן מָלַ֥ךְ אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃
8Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. For with their own eyes they will see the LORD returning to Zion.
ק֥וֹל צֹפַ֛יִךְ נָ֥שְׂאוּ ק֖וֹל יַחְדָּ֣ו יְרַנֵּ֑נוּ כִּ֣י עַ֤יִן בְּעַ֙יִן֙ יִרְא֔וּ בְּשׁ֥וּב יְהוָ֖ה צִיּֽוֹן׃
9Break out together into songs of joy, you ruins of Jerusalem, for the LORD has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.
פִּצְח֤וּ רַנְּנוּ֙ יַחְדָּ֔ו חָרְב֖וֹת יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם כִּֽי־נִחַ֤ם יְהוָה֙ עַמּ֔וֹ גָּאַ֖ל יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
10The LORD has bared his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
חָשַׂ֤ף יְהוָה֙ אֶת־זְר֣וֹעַ קָדְשׁ֔וֹ לְעֵינֵ֖י כָּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם וְרָאוּ֙ כָּל־אַפְסֵי־אָ֔רֶץ אֵ֖ת יְשׁוּעַ֥ת אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ ס
11Depart, depart, go out from there! Touch nothing unclean! Come out from her midst; purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the LORD.
ס֤וּרוּ ס֙וּרוּ֙ צְא֣וּ מִשָּׁ֔ם טָמֵ֖א אַל־תִּגָּ֑עוּ צְא֣וּ מִתּוֹכָ֔הּ הִבָּ֕רוּ נֹשְׂאֵ֖י כְּלֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃
12But you will not leave in haste, nor will you go in flight; for the LORD goes before you, and the God of Israel is your rear guard.
כִּ֣י לֹ֤א בְחִפָּזוֹן֙ תֵּצֵ֔אוּ וּבִמְנוּסָ֖ה לֹ֣א תֵלֵכ֑וּן כִּֽי־הֹלֵ֤ךְ לִפְנֵיכֶם֙ יְהוָ֔ה וּמְאַסִּפְכֶ֖ם אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס
