Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz and the Prophecy of the Fall of Damascus and Samaria

The Lord commands Isaiah to write 'Swift plunder, speedy spoil' on a tablet with reliable witnesses. The prophetess bears a son named Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz, for before the boy can say 'father' and 'mother', the wealth of Damascus and the spoil from Samaria will be carried away to the king of Assyria.

Ésaïe 8,1-4

1The LORD said to me: Take a large tablet and write on it with an ordinary stylus: "Belonging to Maher-shalal-hash-baz."
2And I took reliable witnesses for myself: Uriah the priest and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.
3Then I went to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son. And the LORD said to me: Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
4For before the boy knows how to say "My father" or "My mother," the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried off before the king of Assyria.
