Les paraboles de Jésus
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
The kingdom of God is like a mustard seed – the smallest of all seeds, but it grows into a large tree.
Matthieu 13,31-32
31He put another parable before them: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.
32It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches."
Marc 4,30-32
30And he said, "How shall we picture the kingdom of God? What parable shall we use for it?
Καὶ ἔλεγεν· ⸀Πῶς ὁμοιώσωμεν τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ, ἢ ἐν ⸀τίνι ⸂αὐτὴν παραβολῇ θῶμεν⸃;
31It is like a mustard seed. When it is sown in the ground, it is the smallest of all the seeds on earth,
32yet once it is sown it comes up and becomes the largest of all the garden plants, with branches so big that the birds of the sky can nest in its shade."
Luc 13,18-19
18Then he said, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to?
Ἔλεγεν ⸀οὖν· Τίνι ὁμοία ἐστὶν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ, καὶ τίνι ὁμοιώσω αὐτήν;
19It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches."
