Elioenai (also spelled Elioenaj) was a descendant of King David through the line of Zerubbabel, mentioned in the Books of Chronicles. He belonged to the royal lineage during the period after the exile in Babylon and represents the continuity of David's line following the return to Judah. The name means 'my eyes are turned toward the Lord'.

Elhoenai's Seven Sons

David's Lineage Preserved Through the Exile

The genealogies in Chronicles show how David's line was preserved through generations from Zerubbabel up to Elhoenai, as a sign of God's faithfulness to His promises.

17The sons of Jeconiah, the captive: Shealtiel his son,
וּבְנֵי֙ יְכָנְיָ֣ה אַסִּ֔ר שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵ֖ל בְּנֽוֹ׃ ‬
18and Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

21The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Jeshaiah; the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah.
