Gideoni was the father of Abidan, who served as a leader and chieftain of the tribe of Benjamin during the wilderness journey. He is mentioned in connection with the census and the tribal offerings at the dedication of the tabernacle. Although little is known about him personally, his family held significance in Israel's early history.
