Hagaba was the ancestor of one of the families among the Nethinim (temple servants) who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel. His descendants are mentioned in the lists of those who returned to rebuild the temple and restore worship in Jerusalem.

The Role of the Nethinim in the Rebuilt Community

The temple servants, including the descendants of Hagab, were assigned homes and duties in rebuilt Jerusalem during Nehemiah's reforms.
