Harhur was the ancestor of a family of temple servants (netinim) who returned from the Babylonian exile to Jerusalem. His descendants are mentioned in the lists of those who returned with Zerubbabel to rebuild the temple and restore the Jewish community.

The return from Babylon

Harhur's descendants were part of the large group that returned from the Babylonian captivity to rebuild the temple and restore Jerusalem.

The role of the temple servants in the rebuilding
