Hymenaeus
False Teacher in the Early Church
Hymenaeus was a person in the early Christian church who departed from the true faith and spread false teaching. He claimed that the resurrection had already taken place, thereby undermining the faith of some Christians. Paul mentions him specifically as a warning and an example of apostasy.
