Jerahme'el was the firstborn son of Hezron, grandson of Perez, and great-grandson of Judah. He is an important figure in the genealogy of the tribe of Judah, and his descendants formed the Jerahmeelites, a clan mentioned in connection with David during his time in the wilderness.
