18 You shall also take one leader, one leader from each tribe, to apportion the land as an inheritance. héb וְנָשִׂ֥יא אֶחָ֛ד נָשִׂ֥יא אֶחָ֖ד מִמַּטֶּ֑ה תִּקְח֖וּ לִנְחֹ֥ל אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃
As part of the preparations for entering the Promised Land, representatives from each tribe were chosen to oversee the distribution of the land, and Jogli's son was among them.
19 And these are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb son of Jephunneh; héb וְאֵ֖לֶּה שְׁמ֣וֹת הָאֲנָשִׁ֑ים לְמַטֵּ֣ה יְהוּדָ֔ה כָּלֵ֖ב בֶּן־יְפֻנֶּֽה׃
