Kadmiel was a Levite from the descendants of Hodavjah who returned from the Babylonian exile together with Zerubbabel and Joshua. He played an important role in the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem and led the people in worship and praise. He was also active in renewing the covenant under Ezra and Nehemiah.
