164 is not a number highlighted in the Bible or in classical Jewish numerology (gematria) with any specific symbolic role. Interpretations can be constructed by breaking it down into components (for example, 4 × 41, or the sum of other numbers), but none of these carry traditional authority. The number does not appear directly in any central biblical text and has no known symbolic value in Jewish or Christian tradition. Historically, the year 164 BC can be linked to the Maccabees' rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem after its desecration by Antiochus IV Epiphanes. This event is celebrated through the festival of Hanukkah (see 1 Macc 4:36–59). Although the year itself is historically significant, the number 164 is not attributed any symbolic value in Jewish or Christian tradition.*
