Jesus predicts the disciples' scattering and assures them of his victory
Jesus predicts that the disciples will be scattered, each to their own home, leaving him alone. Yet he is not alone, for the Father is with him. He has said this so that they may have peace in him. In the world they will face tribulation, but they should be bold, for he has conquered the world.
Johannesevangeliet 16,32-33
32Look, the hour is coming—it has already come—when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.
33I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have trouble. But take heart: I have overcome the world."
