The Glory of the Lord Leaves Jerusalem
The cherubim lift their wings, and the glory of the Lord rises from the city and stops on the mountain east of Jerusalem. The Spirit takes Ezekiel in a vision back to the exiles in Chaldea, and he tells them everything the Lord has shown him.
Hesekiel 11,22-25
22Then the cherubim lifted their wings, with the wheels beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.
וַיִּשְׂא֤וּ הַכְּרוּבִים֙ אֶת־כַּנְפֵיהֶ֔ם וְהָאֽוֹפַנִּ֖ים לְעֻמָּתָ֑ם וּכְב֧וֹד אֱלֹהֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃
23And the glory of the LORD rose up from the midst of the city and came to rest on the mountain east of the city.
וַיַּ֙עַל֙ כְּב֣וֹד יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַ֖ל תּ֣וֹךְ הָעִ֑יר וַֽיַּעֲמֹד֙ עַל־הָהָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִקֶּ֥דֶם לָעִֽיר׃
24Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in the vision, by the Spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldea. And the vision I had seen went up from me.
וְר֣וּחַ נְשָׂאַ֗תְנִי וַתְּבִיאֵ֤נִי כַשְׂדִּ֙ימָה֙ אֶל־הַגּוֹלָ֔ה בַּמַּרְאֶ֖ה בְּר֣וּחַ אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיַּ֙עַל֙ מֵֽעָלַ֔י הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר רָאִֽיתִי׃
25And I told the exiles all the words of the LORD that he had shown me.
וָאֲדַבֵּ֖ר אֶל־הַגּוֹלָ֑ה אֵ֛ת כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר הֶרְאָֽנִי׃ פ
