The Fire at Taberah
The people complained, and the Lord heard it. His anger burned, and fire from the Lord broke out among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp. The people cried out to Moses, who prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down. So that place was called Taberah, because there the Lord's fire had burned. Numbers 11:1-3

1Now the people began to complain bitterly, and it was evil in the LORD's hearing. When the LORD heard it, his anger blazed, and fire from the LORD burned among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp.
וַיְהִ֤י הָעָם֙ כְּמִתְאֹ֣נְנִ֔ים רַ֖ע בְּאָזְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע יְהוָה֙ וַיִּ֣חַר אַפּ֔וֹ וַתִּבְעַר־בָּם֙ אֵ֣שׁ יְהוָ֔ה וַתֹּ֖אכַל בִּקְצֵ֥ה הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
2Then the people cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the LORD, and the fire died down.
וַיִּצְעַ֥ק הָעָ֖ם אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֤ל מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וַתִּשְׁקַ֖ע הָאֵֽשׁ׃
3So that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the LORD had burned among them.[^1]

וַיִּקְרָ֛א שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא תַּבְעֵרָ֑ה כִּֽי־בָעֲרָ֥ה בָ֖ם אֵ֥שׁ יְהוָֽה׃
