The Way, the Truth, and the Life

Jesus comforts his disciples and says that there are many rooms in the Father's house. Thomas asks about the way, and Jesus answers that He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life. Philip asks to see the Father, and Jesus explains that whoever has seen Him has seen the Father. John 14:1-11

Johannesevangeliet 14,1-11

1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust in me.
2In my Father's house there are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
3And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also.
4You know the way to the place where I am going."
5Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?"
λέγει αὐτῷ Θωμᾶς· Κύριε, οὐκ οἴδαμεν ποῦ ὑπάγεις· ⸀πῶς ⸂δυνάμεθα τὴν ὁδὸν εἰδέναι⸃;
6Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
7If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him, and you have seen him.
8Philip said to him, "Lord, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
9Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and you still do not know me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
λέγει αὐτῷ ὁ Ἰησοῦς· ⸂Τοσούτῳ χρόνῳ⸃ μεθʼ ὑμῶν εἰμι καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωκάς με, Φίλιππε; ὁ ἑωρακὼς ἐμὲ ἑώρακεν τὸν πατέρα· ⸀πῶς σὺ λέγεις· Δεῖξον ἡμῖν τὸν πατέρα;
10Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak to you I do not speak on my own; it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his works.
11Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or else believe on account of the works themselves.
