The Son's Question About the Lord's Laws

Moses gives the Israelites instructions on how to answer their son when he asks in the future about the meaning of the Lord's testimonies, statutes and laws. The answer should tell how they were slaves under Pharaoh in Egypt, how the Lord brought them out with a strong hand and performed great and awesome signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his household, and how he brought them to the land that he had sworn to give their fathers. The Lord commanded them to keep all these statutes and to fear him, so that it might always go well for them. It will be counted to them as righteousness when they are careful to keep the whole commandment before the Lord.
