Paul Raises Eutychus in Troas
In Troas, a young man named Eutychus falls asleep while Paul speaks until midnight and falls dead from the third floor. Paul goes down, embraces him, and declares that life is in him. Then he breaks bread, continues speaking until dawn, and the congregation is comforted by having the boy returned to them alive.

7On the first day of the week we gathered to break bread, and Paul spoke to them. Since he intended to leave the next day, he kept on talking until midnight.
Ἐν δὲ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων συνηγμένων ⸀ἡμῶν κλάσαι ἄρτον ὁ Παῦλος διελέγετο αὐτοῖς, μέλλων ἐξιέναι τῇ ἐπαύριον, παρέτεινέν τε τὸν λόγον μέχρι μεσονυκτίου.
8There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were gathered.
ἦσαν δὲ λαμπάδες ἱκαναὶ ἐν τῷ ὑπερῴῳ οὗ ἦμεν συνηγμένοι·
9A young man named Eutychus, who was sitting in the window, sank into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. Overcome by sleep, he fell from the third story and was picked up dead.
⸀καθεζόμενος δέ τις νεανίας ὀνόματι Εὔτυχος ἐπὶ τῆς θυρίδος, καταφερόμενος ὕπνῳ βαθεῖ διαλεγομένου τοῦ Παύλου ἐπὶ πλεῖον, κατενεχθεὶς ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕπνου ἔπεσεν ἀπὸ τοῦ τριστέγου κάτω καὶ ἤρθη νεκρός.
10But Paul went down, threw himself upon him, and took him in his arms. "Do not be alarmed," he said, "his life is in him."
καταβὰς δὲ ὁ Παῦλος ἐπέπεσεν αὐτῷ καὶ συμπεριλαβὼν εἶπεν· Μὴ θορυβεῖσθε, ἡ γὰρ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ ἐστιν.
11Then he went back upstairs, broke the bread and ate, and talked with them a long while, until daybreak; then he left.
ἀναβὰς δὲ καὶ κλάσας ⸀τὸν ἄρτον καὶ γευσάμενος ἐφʼ ἱκανόν τε ὁμιλήσας ἄχρι αὐγῆς, οὕτως ἐξῆλθεν.
12And they took the boy home alive, greatly comforted.
ἤγαγον δὲ τὸν παῖδα ζῶντα, καὶ παρεκλήθησαν οὐ μετρίως.
