Ethan the Ezrahite was known as one of the wisest men of his time, but Solomon's wisdom surpassed his. He is traditionally regarded as the author of Psalm 89, a psalm that praises God's faithfulness and covenant with David. He is also mentioned in 1 Chronicles as a Levitical singer.
