Hori is a name that appears twice in the Bible. One is a Horite patriarch, son of Lotan and a descendant of Seir in the land of Edom. The other is the father of Shaphat, one of the spies from the tribe of Simeon sent into Canaan. Both are mentioned in genealogies and lists without further narrative detail.
12The Horites used to live in Seir, but the descendants of Esau dispossessed them, wiped them out, and settled in their place, just as Israel did in the land the LORD gave them as their possession.)
22just as he had done for the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites before them, so that they dispossessed them and have lived in their place to this day.
