Ohel was a descendant of King David through the lineage of Zerubbabel. He is mentioned in the genealogy of David in 1 Chronicles. Although little is known about his life, he is part of the royal Davidic line that was preserved through the exile.

Descendants of Zerubbabel

As part of Zerubbabel's descendants, Ohel was part of a lineage that carried the promise of a future messianic king from the house of David.

Continuation of the Lineage

Ohel's place in the genealogy shows that David's royal line continued to be carefully recorded even after Babylon's destruction of Jerusalem and the exile.
