Hem Personer Rehobiah Rehobiah was the son of Eliezer and grandson of Moses. He was head of a Levitical family that served in temple duties under King David. His descendants were very numerous and had responsibility for managing holy treasures and offerings.

17 The sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah was the chief. Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many. hebr וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ בְנֵי־אֱלִיעֶ֖זֶר רְחַבְיָ֣ה הָרֹ֑אשׁ וְלֹא־הָיָ֤ה לֶאֱלִיעֶ֙זֶר֙ בָּנִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וּבְנֵ֥י רְחַבְיָ֖ה רָב֥וּ לְמָֽעְלָה׃
Rehobiah's descendants were registered as part of the Levitical service divisions when David organized temple worship.
20 As for the rest of the sons of Levi: from the sons of Amram, Shubael; from the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah. hebr וְלִבְנֵ֥י לֵוִ֖י הַנּוֹתָרִ֑ים לִבְנֵ֤י עַמְרָם֙ שֽׁוּבָאֵ֔ל לִבְנֵ֥י שׁוּבָאֵ֖ל יֶחְדְּיָֽהוּ׃
21 As for Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah was the first. hebr לִרְחַבְיָ֑הוּ לִבְנֵ֣י רְחַבְיָ֔הוּ הָרֹ֖אשׁ יִשִּׁיָּֽה׃
The descendants of Rehabiah, son of Shelimoth, and his brothers were in charge of all the holy treasures that King David, the heads of families, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and other officers had dedicated to the Lord.
25 His relatives through Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son. hebr וְאֶחָ֖יו לֶֽאֱלִיעֶ֑זֶר רְחַבְיָ֨הוּ בְנ֜וֹ וִֽישַׁעְיָ֤הוּ בְנוֹ֙ וְיֹרָ֣ם בְּנ֔וֹ וְזִכְרִ֥י בְנ֖וֹ *ושלמות **וּשְׁלֹמִ֥ית בְּנֽוֹ׃
26 This Shelomoth and his brothers were in charge of all the treasuries of the holy gifts dedicated by King David, by the heads of the families, by the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and by the commanders of the army. hebr ה֧וּא שְׁלֹמ֣וֹת וְאֶחָ֗יו עַ֣ל כָּל־אֹצְר֤וֹת הַקֳּדָשִׁים֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִקְדִּ֜ישׁ דָּוִ֣יד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ וְרָאשֵׁ֧י הָאָב֛וֹת לְשָׂרֵֽי־הָאֲלָפִ֥ים וְהַמֵּא֖וֹת וְשָׂרֵ֥י הַצָּבָֽא׃
27 They had dedicated part of the spoils of war for the upkeep of the house of the LORD. hebr מִן־הַמִּלְחָמ֥וֹת וּמִן־הַשָּׁלָ֖ל הִקְדִּ֑ישׁוּ לְחַזֵּ֖ק לְבֵ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃
28 Everything that Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah had dedicated—all these dedicated gifts were under the care of Shelomoth and his brothers. hebr וְכֹ֨ל הַֽהִקְדִּ֜ישׁ שְׁמוּאֵ֤ל הָרֹאֶה֙ וְשָׁא֣וּל בֶּן־קִ֔ישׁ וְאַבְנֵ֣ר בֶּן־נֵ֔ר וְיוֹאָ֖ב בֶּן־צְרוּיָ֑ה כֹּ֚ל הַמַּקְדִּ֔ישׁ עַ֥ל יַד־שְׁלֹמִ֖ית וְאֶחָֽיו׃ פ
Rehabiah's lineage is traced back to Moses through his father Eliezer, giving the family a particularly prominent position among the Levites.
14 As for Moses the man of God, his sons were counted as part of the tribe of Levi. hebr וּמֹשֶׁ֖ה אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים בָּנָ֕יו יִקָּרְא֖וּ עַל־שֵׁ֥בֶט הַלֵּוִֽי׃
