Uriah (the priest)
High Priest under King Ahaz
Uriah was high priest under King Ahaz. He was one of Isaiah's witnesses, but he also built a pagan altar after the model from Damascus at the king's command—a sign of Ahaz's apostasy.

Builds an altar according to the king's wish
Uriah the priest built an altar after the pattern from Damascus as King Ahaz had commanded.
10Then King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria. When he saw the altar that was in Damascus, King Ahaz sent Uriah the priest a sketch of the altar and a detailed plan of its construction.
11So Uriah the priest built an altar according to all the instructions King Ahaz had sent from Damascus, and he finished it before King Ahaz returned from Damascus.
